Many traders start with the same cycle: an EA works for a while, the market changes, drawdown grows, the account gets damaged, and the search for another EA begins again.
The deeper problem is not only whether an EA is good or bad. The real problem is that markets move through different regimes, and we do not know tomorrow's regime in advance.

I stopped looking for one perfect EA and started thinking in terms of an ecosystem. Each EA has a role. Some are built for trend behavior. Some read price zones. Some use BOS or structure. Some use grid or basket logic and must be treated as higher risk.
The goal is not to build a system that never loses. The goal is to avoid depending on one strategy for every market and to survive long enough to keep improving.

Some EAs need directional movement. They can suffer when the market becomes noisy or range-bound.
Some EAs wait for support, resistance, midpoint, or pivot behavior. They may fail when price breaks structure aggressively.
Grid or basket systems can behave differently from single-entry systems. Exposure can grow, so risk notes must be read carefully.
